Affirmations: Love

A fulfilling relationship thrives on mutual respect, understanding, and a shared commitment to growth and connection – embracing unity while honoring individuality.

My affirmation towards finding my life partner

I’m worthy, and though I don’t need much to be happy, I deserve more than the bare minimum.

I am whole, I am worthy, I am lovable and I deserve someone who sees all of me.

I am the divine, I shine and give light, so will my partner by my side.

By giving I am receiving in multiple by my king or queen, we are strong apart, but stronger together heart by heart. 200% side by side.

We fulfill each other, but are whole alone, when we meet one day, we see, how full life can be. Communication and comprehension by both sides, us as a couple shine bright with both sparks and fit: we are the ultimate chemical hit, but with compatibility for sure.

Our love life, is so much more than all those dreams by day or by night, it’s pure daylight of warmness and content, we are the perfect person for each other, today, tomorrow, and every day before we cannot stay.

A love so strong, but no co-dependency, just a life in harmony.

Behind My Story

Nearly a year ago, I took the step to not only write down goals but to truly reflect on all aspects of life, being painfully honest with myself, and setting a clear path ahead. Following that, I created a life plan template as well: “Crafting Your Blueprint for Success: The Art of Designing a Life Plan.” Despite many obstacles during that time, I viewed each one as a chance to find light in the darkness. For it takes a certain darkness to truly see the stars. Moreover, a life without a plan lacks purpose and fulfillment, but a journey with clear goals and dedicated time for each aspect leads to a fulfilled life.

Though I’ve always been goal-oriented and reflective, this deep dive into my life, coupled with therapy sessions that guided me through my pain points, has led to better prioritizing and focusing on different areas for moving forward. While the path isn’t linear, breaking main goals into small, daily steps truly ensures progress.

Learning the art of setting healthy boundaries

A significant part of my journey has been, as still is, learning to set healthy boundaries. Moving away from people-pleasing and being a “doormat”, which was shaped by years of bullying, abuse, and violence. I’ve learned to be empathetic without letting others overstep my boundaries. It’s a continuous learning journey; after all, learning never stops in life. #growthmindset.

One aspect of setting boundaries and choosing whom to have in my life resulted in an affirmation I wrote for and by myself. It’s a reminder of my self-worth and the abundance I offer, spoken aloud daily for months. Suddenly, like a gift from the universe, I found a partner who respects, accepts, and challenges me. My affirmation resonates: I am whole, worthy, and deserving of someone who sees all of me. Together, we shine and complement each other, creating a harmonious life built on communication and mutual respect, without co-dependency. Instead, we lean on each other for support, knowing we have mutual understanding and encouragement. That being said, a healthy relationship and maintaining so, is a joint endeavor, calling for consistent effort, open communication, and a willingness to be honest and vulnerable with each other. A fulfilling relationship thrives on mutual respect, understanding, and shared commitment to growth and connection. A nurturing strong bond of love and companionship, together as a union – while still also being each your own person.

Bestefar og barnebarn

Hvil i fred Beste, du beste bestefar

Morgenen kom, men Kristen sovnet stille inne.

Hvil i fred Beste, du beste bestefar i vår verden.

Hvil i fred Beste.

Hvil i fred Beste.

Hvil i fred Kristen.

For stille vaier trærne rundt hjemmet du elsket.

Hvil i fred Kristen. Hvil i fred Beste.

/ Minne: 2 timer i matbutikken
Handleturene tok “bare” 2 timer.

Translation

Translated to English, but please keep in mind that rhyme does not necessarily translate well from Norwegian to English. Thus a few rewritings, but hopefully the message of self-love conveys.

We constantly strive for the flawless, the perfect life where work and personal life are balanced, where we exercise, spend time with family and friends, travel, and also find joy at home. It’s daily showers from head to toe, makeup, and carefully chosen clothes for every occasion. Dinners and events – but when do we pause and stop?

The perfect imperfect. FOMO or JOMO? Are you where you want to be?

The perfect imperfect. Regardless of your achievements, time, and place – regardless of life as it is, you’re amazing! Your value isn’t reflected in things here and there, it lies inherently within you – so just be yourself, your self-value lies there. Nothing more, nothing less. Be you and stay true to your inner perfectly, imperfect YOU!

The Perfectly Imperfect

The perfect lies within the imperfect,
The known, dear, and near,
Perhaps something to learn, a lesson clear?

Every day we strive to be the best,
As if every day is nothing but one big test.
What if we instead took a step back and really see ourselves?
Look in the mirror and give yourself a clap on the shoulder for well done, ’cause you are perfect just in yourself.

Besides your job and others around you, you are you – and perfect just the way you are.
If you want to become stronger or gain more knowledge, then by all means do so,
but know that you are also worthy, regardless of time and place.

Remember, your worth isn’t tied to achievements or circumstances. Embrace your imperfections and recognize the beauty in simply being yourself.

Embrace Self-Love Poem: This is Me

This poem highlights the importance of self-reflection, discovery, and acceptance, inviting you to aspire and embrace confidence and self-love.

This is me

This is me. Unapologetically myself. For now, my alter ego. My wannabe. Who I ought to be. Who I aspire to be. Confident and filled with self-love down to the core. This is me, or rather, this should be me. Someone I strive to be.

May it inspire you to love yourself—from your outside view to the deep inner core of your soul. You deserve to feel love deep down to your core!

Poem: New Year

Every year we all reflect, or at least think through our year consciously or unconsciously. Going through what a year it has been, either at New Year’s, during a milestone achieved, our birthday, or similar “big moments” in life. In the end, reflection over time passed. However, life is not as linear as time has made us belivie. Maybe it’s rather moment to moment – and everything in-between?

Thus here is a poem for a new year – new me, new you? Or a new perspective of our life before it’s through?

New year – new me

New year, new me,

That’s what we all say every single year at this time, don’t you agree?

Instead, I’ll rephrase that line of speech, for life turns out how we decide it to be.

Today or tomorrow, or a new year.

Time doesn’t really matter,

Rather how much you care.

For life is not as linear as we believe,

Rather measured by moments in time.

How much effort you’re willing to put in,

You choose if you give in or win.

For down the line,

Your life is exactly by your own design.

Poem: Treat Every Day as a Gift

About +/- 8 years ago, I started saying, “I’m having a day” instead of “a bad day.” Why? Because it consciously shifts your mindset to simply acknowledging that you have a day – one that includes both positive and negative aspects.

“I’m having a day”

In life, we encounter stressors and challenges, and it’s not uncommon to hear people proclaiming, “I’m having a bad day” as a default response to life’s ups and downs. However, let’s reframe our mindset and approach. Not all days are good, but that doesn’t mean they’re all bad either. What about letting the day be what it is – at least starting the day with a more neutral perspective?

Personally, this mental shift has brought about a profound change in how I navigate life’s challenges and celebrate its victories. You know, the light at the end of the tunnel, the silver lining somewhere, somehow. However, some days will be harder than others – but without a certain darkness, the stars and moon are quite hard to see. Remember, you are your life’s designer. You have the power of perception and how your reality is shaped by your experiences, influencing your emotional response. Though it takes time for the brain to “reprogram” to a more balanced way, allowing ourselves the freedom to acknowledge the complexity of our experiences leads to deeper emotions and a deeper connection with ourselves. Not every moment may be ideal, but within each day, there are undoubtedly moments of joy, learning, and growth.

Does neutrality, or claiming on the bright side, mean ignoring or suppressing?

Absolutely not, nor masking your true feelings. On the contrary, it involves acknowledging that every day is an adventure of various experiences – some positive, some not as favorable – as we walk down the road of that day’s journey. When we refrain from immediately labeling a day as “bad,” we open ourselves up to a more nuanced understanding of our emotions.

Program your brain for a positive approach

By consciously choosing not to declare a day as “bad,” we engage in a form of self-programming. It’s about training our minds to focus on the positive aspects of each day and finding silver linings even in challenging moments. This mental discipline can lead to increased resilience and a more optimistic outlook on life. In contrast, it’s also essential to not only see the optimistic side. “Delulu is the solulu” only lasts for so long until reality can be a hard truth to swallow. Thus, it’s a powerful practice to change our way of thinking into a more nuanced look. Reflect on both the good and the bad moments, be grateful for the blessings, and be mindful of lessons.

Lastly, it’s also okay not to be okay! Acknowledging and addressing our struggles is an essential part of self-care. Finding a fine balance between looking for the “silver lining mindset” while simultaneously accepting reality by allowing yourself to feel.

Do you accept the challenge?

Next time you feel like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, take a moment to think and breathe. Try the journey from “having a bad day” to “having a day” – maybe you’ll be surprised at how a day turns bright just because you focused on the light. Remember, it takes more than one day, so give it a real try. Over time, embracing mental neutrality allows us to reflect and learn how to internalize seeing the richness and complexity of each day – truly taking in both sides. Further down the line, your unconscious brain has already given the perspective of a neutral day. You might be surprised by the positive impact it has on your overall well-being.

Treat Every Day As A Gift

Open the ribbon to discover today’s adventure, a new day could be an uplift.

For even when it’s gloomy days,

You can turn the frown upside down in many ways.

Maybe a walk,

Or a good heartfelt talk?

Or rather, taking some time for you,

Be present and breathe,

Do a project of some kind,

For your life is by your own design.

When waking up on the wrong side of the bed,

Take a moment to deal with your thoughts in your head.

Maybe saying you just have a day, than saying it’s blue?

Starting the day neutral could change your first initial point of view.

A good day or a day or two,

Your way out of your feelings is your work to do.

However, accept the help around from near and dear, maybe even a therapist could help you see whatever it is more clear.

In any case, a good day or a day,

Waking up is the universe’s gift to you,

Take the opportunities presented and slay,

Life is too short to only see the grey/gray.

Despite these facts, a certain darkness is needed to see the stars and moon.

It’s part of life’s balance, it’s part of your journey to find your tune.

Love Pearls – A Life of some

“Love Pearls” explores the distinction between love that lasts and a fleeting flame. The poem portrays a passionate yet doomed love, highlighting the challenges and inevitable parting. Moreover, how love heals, steady and calm. It also emphasizes the importance of care, acceptance, and the collaborative effort required to sustain a lasting love. How it takes two to tango, symbolized by pearls threaded together in life’s intricate dance. The verses convey a message of hope and reflection, urging an open-hearted approach to love that stands the test of time.

Love pearls

Listen to “Love Pearls” read by me

Through ups and downs, highs and lows,

Fear and fright through the delight.

A love with fire of some,

Doomed from the start, not a lasting one.

.

The story went as it started,

Back and forth,

Until they parted.

The story ended as flames do,

Without nurture and oxygen,

There is no flame after it’s doomed.

.

They say the grass is greener on the other side,

Contrary so, the grass is green where nurture and care is served,

The grass grows and flows in its colour through sun and rain.

The grass is green where one water and care, not plucked as something to gain,

For that garden clearly ended in shame.

.

The story of two parted,

But continued each to their own.

Hopefully for both, to a love of calmness and flow.

Steady and ready,

Love entered once more.

For love heals everything, deep down to our core.

.

When love leaves, ask them to leave the door open.

When love arrives, stand with open arms and accept the gift as a token.

Not something to possess,

Nor to pluck and have.

Simply being and working with,

Like pearls on a tread; one by one until the jewelry is built by four hands,

It’s life’s dance.

When done, something to look back on.

A story of two, but also to each their own.

Something left behind when our life runs out of time.

With this milestone achieved, I’m closing one chapter and embarking on the next: “Turn the page – Next Adventure Awaits”.

About the book:

Born from the depths of a heartbroken summer, this collection transforms pain into art and darkness into soul-stirring poetry. In the heart of “The Broken and The Divine,” love is portrayed not as a source of pain but as a potent healer. It narrates a tale of the departure of love – the sadness, anger, and darkness that ensue – and the subsequent transformative journey toward healing. Through poetic verses, the collection beautifully captures some of the essence of self-discovery and the emergence of a different love: self-love and how love will heal – “But it is the journey and whom you meet, That will make you feel complete.“.

We often say love hurts, and that we make beauty from pain. But I will refrain, that trail of thoughts.

It is not the love which hurt, with all its passion and warmth; love will heal.

It is the pain of love leaving, the sadness, anger, and darkness we feel; which hurts us until we squeal.

Love will heal…[…]” CG Art & Poetry.

The poems guide readers through a dance of words, a harmonious rhythm where the soul gracefully moves toward sunshine and light. As you delve into the collection, contemplate the question posed by me; “Underneath it all, who are you at your core?“.

Kiss me if you miss me.

An artist finds inspiration from all around, but mostly and deepest down, in the chaotic mess of emotions. Through fragments of life’s tapestry, an artistic view emerges – and over time, it’s weaved, glued, or painted together piece by piece of existence. The whole reason for letting yourself get lost in a creative act, is for you and you only – a chaotic mess transformed into a piece of art. The “broken” finds its place and a new perspective might be formed, a burden less heavy to bear when feelings are let out in a beautiful mosaic of you.

Following is a poem by me, close by heart, which you’ll also find in my book for sale. Somewhat inspired by the famous quote by Osho regarding how if you love something, you appreciate it, for love is not about possession. If you love a flower, let it be. If you don’t, and pluck it, it’ll wither and what you once loved cease. Furthermore, my favorite author of all time since I was 13 – Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven.

My debut book is out for sale on Amazon (paperback and e-book).

Kiss me if you miss me

Love me like a wild flower.

Water me and let me grow,

and I’ll show you love.

Pluck me and I’ll wither,

and become very bitter.

I’ll lose that glitter,

as well as my twitter.

Love me like a free bird,

Poesi: Evig optimist (NO)

Evig optimist, likevel…

Evig optimist (NO)

Du stod opp for ditt.

Love & Light / CG

/ Translated to English, but please bear in mind that rhyme does not necessarily translate well from Norwegian to English. /

Forever an optimist, nevertheless… This poem encourages you to embrace every feeling- both the good and the challenging ones. Through life’s many trials, we discover our strength within by allowing ourselves to feel. Even when it’s painful, and may be accompanied by an inner belief that showing emotions is a weakness. On the contrary, that’s where your strength lies; it’s through feelings that we learn and grow. Time after time, one step at a time.

Eternal Optimist EN

An eternal optimist is a person who knows it will turn out fine down the line.

However, the journey there can be quite tough,

And it’s okay to speak up.

Feel your emotions and set them free,

Tears, anger, smiles, and numbness – all part of your melody.

*

Eternal optimist, we know it will turn out fine down the line.

Yet when facing life’s many trials, we feel life bursts and break down,

Know it’s okay to feel, let go, and be yourself.

When emotions are felt freely,

Perhaps the burden becomes easier to bear, an inner strife released,

When you stand up for your feels.

For within you, there’s strength to overcome it all,

Even when life crashes and you fall.

*

The strength within you shown,

Is to be human, with all feelings and staying true,

Some might say vulnerable and weak, contrary so; toughness, strength, and sincerity it speaks,

-Certainly so, is what your dear ones think when their hand and help you seek.
