This poem highlights the importance of self-reflection, discovery, and acceptance, inviting you to aspire and embrace confidence and self-love.
This is me
This is me. Unapologetically myself. For now, my alter ego. My wannabe. Who I ought to be. Who I aspire to be. Confident and filled with self-love down to the core. This is me, or rather, this should be me. Someone I strive to be.
May it inspire you to love yourself—from your outside view to the deep inner core of your soul. You deserve to feel love deep down to your core!

Every year we all reflect, or at least think through our year consciously or unconsciously. Going through what a year it has been, either at New Year’s, during a milestone achieved, our birthday, or similar “big moments” in life. In the end, reflection over time passed. However, life is not as linear as time has made us belivie. Maybe it’s rather moment to moment – and everything in-between?
Thus here is a poem for a new year – new me, new you? Or a new perspective of our life before it’s through?
New year – new me
New year, new me,
That’s what we all say every single year at this time, don’t you agree?
Instead, I’ll rephrase that line of speech, for life turns out how we decide it to be.
Today or tomorrow, or a new year.
Time doesn’t really matter,
Rather how much you care.
For life is not as linear as we believe,
Rather measured by moments in time.
How much effort you’re willing to put in,
You choose if you give in or win.
For down the line,
Your life is exactly by your own design.

About +/- 8 years ago, I started saying, “I’m having a day” instead of “a bad day.” Why? Because it consciously shifts your mindset to simply acknowledging that you have a day – one that includes both positive and negative aspects.
“I’m having a day”
In life, we encounter stressors and challenges, and it’s not uncommon to hear people proclaiming, “I’m having a bad day” as a default response to life’s ups and downs. However, let’s reframe our mindset and approach. Not all days are good, but that doesn’t mean they’re all bad either. What about letting the day be what it is – at least starting the day with a more neutral perspective?
Personally, this mental shift has brought about a profound change in how I navigate life’s challenges and celebrate its victories. You know, the light at the end of the tunnel, the silver lining somewhere, somehow. However, some days will be harder than others – but without a certain darkness, the stars and moon are quite hard to see. Remember, you are your life’s designer. You have the power of perception and how your reality is shaped by your experiences, influencing your emotional response. Though it takes time for the brain to “reprogram” to a more balanced way, allowing ourselves the freedom to acknowledge the complexity of our experiences leads to deeper emotions and a deeper connection with ourselves. Not every moment may be ideal, but within each day, there are undoubtedly moments of joy, learning, and growth.
Does neutrality, or claiming on the bright side, mean ignoring or suppressing?
Absolutely not, nor masking your true feelings. On the contrary, it involves acknowledging that every day is an adventure of various experiences – some positive, some not as favorable – as we walk down the road of that day’s journey. When we refrain from immediately labeling a day as “bad,” we open ourselves up to a more nuanced understanding of our emotions.
Program your brain for a positive approach
By consciously choosing not to declare a day as “bad,” we engage in a form of self-programming. It’s about training our minds to focus on the positive aspects of each day and finding silver linings even in challenging moments. This mental discipline can lead to increased resilience and a more optimistic outlook on life. In contrast, it’s also essential to not only see the optimistic side. “Delulu is the solulu” only lasts for so long until reality can be a hard truth to swallow. Thus, it’s a powerful practice to change our way of thinking into a more nuanced look. Reflect on both the good and the bad moments, be grateful for the blessings, and be mindful of lessons.
Lastly, it’s also okay not to be okay! Acknowledging and addressing our struggles is an essential part of self-care. Finding a fine balance between looking for the “silver lining mindset” while simultaneously accepting reality by allowing yourself to feel.
Do you accept the challenge?
Next time you feel like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, take a moment to think and breathe. Try the journey from “having a bad day” to “having a day” – maybe you’ll be surprised at how a day turns bright just because you focused on the light. Remember, it takes more than one day, so give it a real try. Over time, embracing mental neutrality allows us to reflect and learn how to internalize seeing the richness and complexity of each day – truly taking in both sides. Further down the line, your unconscious brain has already given the perspective of a neutral day. You might be surprised by the positive impact it has on your overall well-being.

Treat Every Day As A Gift
Open the ribbon to discover today’s adventure, a new day could be an uplift.
For even when it’s gloomy days,
You can turn the frown upside down in many ways.
Maybe a walk,
Or a good heartfelt talk?
Or rather, taking some time for you,
Be present and breathe,
Do a project of some kind,
For your life is by your own design.
When waking up on the wrong side of the bed,
Take a moment to deal with your thoughts in your head.
Maybe saying you just have a day, than saying it’s blue?
Starting the day neutral could change your first initial point of view.
A good day or a day or two,
Your way out of your feelings is your work to do.
However, accept the help around from near and dear, maybe even a therapist could help you see whatever it is more clear.
In any case, a good day or a day,
Waking up is the universe’s gift to you,
Take the opportunities presented and slay,
Life is too short to only see the grey/gray.
Despite these facts, a certain darkness is needed to see the stars and moon.
It’s part of life’s balance, it’s part of your journey to find your tune.
“Love Pearls” explores the distinction between love that lasts and a fleeting flame. The poem portrays a passionate yet doomed love, highlighting the challenges and inevitable parting. Moreover, how love heals, steady and calm. It also emphasizes the importance of care, acceptance, and the collaborative effort required to sustain a lasting love. How it takes two to tango, symbolized by pearls threaded together in life’s intricate dance. The verses convey a message of hope and reflection, urging an open-hearted approach to love that stands the test of time.
Life is an adventure, a remarkable journey filled with experiences, lessons, and growth. Similar to a captivating book, our life story unfolds as we navigate through its chapters, each with its unique experiences.
Listen here:
Envision each step as a word, days as pages, life stages as chapters; all composing your distinctive narrative, your life’s book. I mean, there is a reason so many embark on the task of documenting their own or others’ life journeys.
This analogy highlights the essence of embracing life’s challenges and opportunities, as well as the significance of the choices we make along the way. Just as authors shape their characters and plots, we too write our destinies. This is encapsulated in the line “In the end, your book of life is your testament to who you chose to be”.
Moreover, I hope the poem conveys its intended core message; the concept of finding one’s inner strength and courage needed to confront life’s encounters by living authentically, embracing the unknown, seizing opportunities, and taking the lead in each our lives – recognizing that we are the authors of our life’s story: “In the end, down the line, it’s up to you if your book is about the broken, or the divine.”.

Turn the Page – Next Adventure Awaits
Your life is like a book,
It’s up to you to stay on the chapter or turn the page, but aren’t you even a little bit curious to have just one look?
A glimpse into your next phase?
What the next chapter portrays?
*
Breathe in and breathe out,
Be here in this moment without a doubt.
Breathe in, feel the power within,
Breathe out, let go of all sorrow and sin.
For in the stillness we find, a mindful moment of peace and flow, ooh…
Our freedom and power within, a life of balance, the strength to let all worries undo.
Are you ready to find your life’s true?
New adventures and sights await you,
Step by step, a dance of dreams untold,
Embrace life’s wonders, leave today’s current stage’s hold.
Are you ready to move further into life’s adventures and a new dawn?
Don’t you feel drawn?
*
Breathe in, breathe out…
Pause in the moment, feel your present right now, let all distractions cease,
When you’re ready to move forward, embrace life’s release.
*
Breathe in, breathe out,
If you live with a mind in the past,
That’s okay, take your time, but do it fast.
If you live in the future,
That’s okay, take your time, but don’t get blind.
Do you manage to breathe in?
Feel your fingers and your feet?
Breathe out, be here, and feel the breathwork’s feeling of sweet.
Past or future, take your time, but don’t stay in its bind or you’ll be late,
Breathe in again, seek your purpose, and turn the page, – breathe out, your destiny await.
*
Breathe in, feel the calmness in the flow.
Breathe out, let all worries go.
Learn from the past, but do not dwell,
Know your past and future encounters are challenges you’ll find a way to face well.
Embrace every page, every chapter, and every step of your way,
Are you ready to turn the page, take the step forward, and embark on your journey today?
*
If not, that’s fine too,
You do you.
However, at some point, you need to face yourself and your life’s design,
By weakness or by strength, the next step or crawl could be your own sign,
Who knows, maybe life will truly shine?
*
Breathe in, breathe out.
Life’s unraveling mysteries of paths to take, challenges to overcome, mountains to run, walk or crawl,
Encounters and obstacles to meet, all part of your life’s call.
Breathe in, breathe out.
It all starts with the first turn of the page,
But that choice is yours to make.
The next chapter could be your time to shine,
Feel life’s brightness through your purpose over time.
The next page could change it all,
If we only muster the courage to take a leap and stand tall.
*
Breathe in, breathe out.
Write your next chapter with purpose and grace, on a journey for your life’s true,
You’re the author, set your pace during the hike for that view,
Take breaks as needed, as long as you continue to write the story of you.
With lessons learned from past mistakes, hardships, and fun teachings too,
Whatever the future holds, your life is gold.
Embrace the journey, let your spirit roam free,
In the end, your book of life is your testament of who you chose to be.
*
Breathe in, breathe out,
Embrace all life’s unknown, without a doubt.
For when looking back, each chapter in one’s book,
One understands the next step was all it took,
To unveil each life’s phases of light and love, its hardships, and its lessons to grow.
All in all, just one step at a time, turning the page, then with courage and a bold mind, we do it one more time.
Seeking life here and now, living with all our heart with each step in its time, embracing all encounters and moments with confidence and belief – this is your life’s script through climb after climb,
The sum of chapters is your life by design.
*
Breathe in and breathe out,
Take a moment to just feel and be,
You’re your life’s designer, don’t you see?
*
Breathe in, breathe out.
Turn another page and step into a new chapter of your life,
You found both your purpose and your light.
Breathe in and breathe out,
A bright future seems brighter with time,
But it’s not until you look behind, that you see just how big of a climb, time after time.
*
Breathe in and breathe out,
Take the step and turn another page,
Dare before you’re old of age.
Here is your sign to write your story, create your life’s design,
In the end, down the line, it’s up to you if your book is about the broken, or the divine.

It’s the journey with all its light, different views and people you meet,
That will make you feel complete.
Thought the view on the top may be fine,
It’s the journey itself you’ll remember the best,
All those times you were put to a test.

have a drink of delight. Maybe sweet like strawberries, or a little sour, but most likely you’ll see them fine, on some good wine.
Girls’ night
Fun for a while when we dance and smile.
But believe us when we say,
We cannot stay.
Guys is not for our eyes this very night,
Please do take our advice – for girls’ night is our night to shine bright, filled with compliments to our best of friends. For “Girls just wanna have fun” [1]for a night, without attention from any guy. A girl’s night of everything nice with sugar and spice, mixed with sarcasm, wine and everything fine. [2]
Girl’s night,
Take our advice.
At this time of night, men’s interest would often turn out to be, to get a lady for just one night. Though it’s romantic under the moons light, we cannot stay this midnight.
.
Girl’s night
“Thank you for the drink,” we say, while walking away. Some angry comments from behind – how quickly you went away from your first impression of kind.
Do not believe this is a transaction for you to claim to get paid back. That entitlement mentality is in fact, not an attractive act.
–
If you’re a gentleman you would say,
“Please do stay. Not for the things you think, but rather a conversation in the moonlight, and have another drink.”
When hesitating you would follow up and say:
“I’m not a guy like that,
But if you like, I would enjoy a walk and a chat”.
.
Girl’s night
Full of delight.
Might the man of honor and respect show up as a real knight in shining armor – what a real gentleman he might be.
However, for this night it’s ladies time, without having a dude on their mind.
“If you’re a man after your words, reach out another day or night, like you could be a real knight”. Nonetheless, would a man ever utter these words?
So, girls’ night ending with “Thank you again for the drinks, and good night”, walking away for their final part of their lady’s night. Ending their adventure in good mood – sponsored by shared food.

My advice would be to be more careful with your words/life then.
Calling women bitches ain’t cool. Nor is it when we women call each other that for “fun” – it ain’t fun. However, as a perpetual optimist, let’s find the light. If anyone calls you a bitch, flip your hair and return ” Oh thank you for calling me a Beauty In Total Control of Herself, try it again and see what happens”. You’re welcome, please share your stories.
