Tiden: poetisk refleksjon om tidens helbredning

Although the English language is by far more descriptive and “alive” (in my opinion), my mother tongue is Norwegian – who would have guessed when my poetry collection book will be fully in English? Jokes aside (yeah you know 2022; global world, Internet, and SoMe), here is a short poem in Norwegian…

.. and I was going to say “don’t get used to it”, but you know – never say never. PS: see below for the translation in English, but please keep in mind rhyme does not necessarily translate that well.

TID (Norwegian)

Tid leger ingen sår,

Den bare tikker og går.

Skal livet smile,

Må du lære deg å deale.

.

TIME (English)

Time heals no wounds,

It just ticks and moves on.

If life is to smile,

You must learn how to deal in life with style.
